Recursive Process
From when I received my first peer review and instructor comments from this English class, I noticed a huge change in my writing. I used to get right to the point in my writing which made it very boring and short to read. Once I was involved in a peer review, got my comments back, and fixed my writing; it was much more pleasing to read, I learned new types of writing that I could include, and it had a flow that could keep a reader interested. My writing did not need grammar and mechanics revision, it just needed general structure changes. In addition, I make sure to read the full prompt and also answer the full prompt; after I write my essay, read the prompt over again, go back to my work, and add any new information I need. After doing this I recognized the significant growth in my writing that came from taking the time to engage in the peer review process as well as using the comments from my instructor. Revising my work has been very beneficial, I can identify and fix any mistakes that I made grammatically and logically. This benefits me as a writer by realizing where my errors are in writing and allows me to gain more strength and confidence in my writing.
