MLA Documentation

Using MLA formatting in my writing has benefited me in my writing significantly. When I can’t find the words myself and I have other writing that gives a stronger message, it is super helpful. It is especially helpful to use quotes to support my claim. In my writing, I will give the reader a background of what my paper is about, then when I begin my body paragraphs I will add quotes. Quotes are helpful to include in my writing when the original creator has further information about my topic that was new and interesting for my writing. Not only is it helpful to find a quote that has a good description, it is also helpful to create a way that is much more clear for you to understand. I never realized the importance of paraphrasing and summarizing until I implemented it in my writing. It gives me a deeper understanding of the ideas rather than using someone else’s words to give the reader an understanding.
